The overall goals of the "SpeedCoat" project is the implementation of an integrated technology platform for the rapid development and production of individually optimized coating systems used to maximize the lifetimes of ultra-precision molding tools for the precision molding of innovative optical glass components.
The coordination of the project will be handled by Fraunhofer IPT. Aixtooling will act as one of the industrial participants and will bring its competence in the areas of tool making and tool wearing mechanisms to the table.
